This Old House

Built in the early 1900's, Great Aunt Theresa and Uncle Dick's house is feast of nooks and crannies. After filling up on Theresa's great food (including dinosaur shaped muffins), the young explorers ran off to find what they could find.

Discovery #1 An old fashioned intercom? Perfect for relaying important information.
"Hurry, Anna, go to the basement and see if you can see me!"

Discovery #2 Where do these little stairs lead?

"Wow. A third floor...here comes Mom...let's hide!"

Discovery #3 Found: two explorers having a treasure trove of fun.

The Sweeter Side

Isn't she lovely? Abby's sweet side shows up in many ways these days. She goes around the room each night, giving everyone a "ma" (kiss) in turn, saying "Nigh, nigh, Daddy...nigh, nigh, wawa (Joshua)...nigh, nigh, Anna" She joins right in with the kids' latest knock-knock jokes at dinner, saying, "knock, knock", tapping her head, and laughing like she gets every punchline. Any item of Josh's or Anna's that she spots, she picks up and delivers to them, especially Anna's beloved Tigger-Tiger. Lest you think she's all sweet, beware if you fail to actually take the item she offers...a screech will surely follow. Most of the time though, she toddles around the house, reciting her growing lexicon and pointing out anything that has "eyes", her word of the week. What a lovely girl.

Here we go...

Finally, it's clear that this blog-wagon is worth jumping onto.
Here's to sharing a little of our lives with you...

Here is a much awaited family photo. Just seconds before this final shot, Josh's arm wrapped all the way around Anna's neck in a "loving" embrace. This one may make the Christmas card cut. With 3 wiggly subjects and a host of behind the camera antics, getting another family photo this year may be a stretch.
